What to Expect at MWCA: The Future of Wireless & the IoT

We’re just days away from Mobile World Congress Americas!

Here on the blog, we’ve talked about what to expect from the Everything Policy theme as well as a preview of panels featuring CTIA members discussing the wireless networks of today and tomorrow.

Today, we’re highlighting CTIA member panels devoted to the future of wireless—whether that be the Internet of Things, the intersection between media and wireless or the changing workforce.

Connected Life Discussions

CTIA board member Glenn Lurie, CEO of Synchronoss, will be joined by representatives of AT&T, Ericsson, Intel and Sprint to discuss what’s next for the Internet of Things during The IoT Landscape session.

Deloitte, SAP and Ericsson will be discussing the relationship between connected vehicles and cellular networks during the From Automotive Manufacturer to Smart Mobility Service Provider panel.

Ericsson, Sprint and Cisco will chat about the role that AI is playing in network operations at the Automating the Network: AI & Machine Learning panel.

Discussing what’s necessary to build a successful autonomous vehicle environment, executives from Nokia, Qualcomm and Deloitte will come together at the Autonomous Vehicles panel.

Executives from AT&T, Sprint, Synchronoss and Verizon will discuss the relationship between 5G and smart city technologies during the 5G and Smart City Networks panel.

The Future of the Wireless Industry Panels

CTIA Board Member David Christopher, President of AT&T Mobility & Entertainment, will keynote a session during the Media & Entertainment theme.

Representatives from AT&T, Nokia and Synchronoss, including CTIA board member Glenn Lurie, will gather to discuss their efforts to support and grow the careers of women in the wireless industry at the Women Empowering Technology panel.
