CTIA Statement on Combating 9-1-1 Fee Diversion .
“CTIA commends the FCC for continuing to shine a bright light on the unacceptable practice of 9-1-1 fee diversion and we thank Commissioner O’Rielly for his steadfast leadership on this important issue. State governments erode public trust and safety when they divert millions of dollars collected from wireless consumers intended to maintain and enhance our nation’s 9-1-1 system. We look forward to working with the FCC to identify new ways to address the problem.”
