CTIA Statement on the Passing of Chairman Dingell .
Yesterday, we lost one of America’s most respected and storied legislators. Chairman John Dingell was a lion in the House of Representatives, and during his 15-year tenure at the helm of the Energy and Commerce Committee, and his 59 years in the House, he fought tirelessly for laws that would protect and improve the lives of all Americans. Those of us who had the opportunity to work with John can testify that he embodied everything a public servant should strive to be.
Our thoughts are with his family, including his wife, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, who today continues John’s legacy in Michigan and our nation’s capital.
