CTIA Statement on Senate Passage of the TRACED Act .
“We thank Senators Thune and Markey for their leadership in combating illegal and unwanted robocalls, and we applaud the Senate for passing the TRACED Act.
The TRACED Act enhances the FCC’s ability to go after bad actors and acknowledges the important role the wireless industry has to play in adopting and implementing call authentication. The wireless industry takes this issue seriously, and with this display of overwhelming bipartisan support, the Senate has made it clear that protecting American consumers is a priority.”
