CTIA Statement on FCC Z-Axis Proposal for Vertical 9-1-1 Location Information .

WASHINGTON D.C.– The following statement is for attribution to CTIA® Vice President, Regulatory Affairs Matthew Gerst.

“Wireless providers have made significant progress enhancing 9-1-1 location accuracy capabilities and continue to develop and evaluate innovative solutions. We are encouraged by the FCC’s efforts to provide certainty around expectations and requirements to deliver vertical location information, such as z-axis.”
