WASHINGTON – Please attribute the following statement to CTIA® Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Scott Bergmann:
“CTIA and its members are proud of the wireless industry’s commitment to advancing mobile health initiatives, and we applaud the FCC for prioritizing this issue.
The high speed and low latency promised by next-generation 5G networks will improve device responsiveness and enable expanded access to care by providing new options for connecting health care providers and patients. To realize these benefits, we need a stable regulatory environment that fosters innovation and investment.
With smart spectrum and infrastructure policies and a renewed focus on light-touch regulations, we can unlock the full potential of wireless broadband-enabled mobile health advancements and empower Americans with increased access to care at reduced costs and with improved outcomes.”
