CTIA Statement on Enhancements to Wireless Emergency Alerts .
“The new enhancements to the Wireless Emergency Alerts system announced today will make it an even more powerful tool in the toolbox for public safety officials to keep us safe. We applaud Chairman Pai’s leadership, dedication and focus to ensuring that we continue to enhance the proven-life saving capabilities of WEA. CTIA also commends our member companies and FEMA for diligently working together to deliver these new enhancements and continuing to make WEA alerts one of our most effective public alert warning tools.”
