CTIA Statement on Amicus Brief Requesting Review of Class Action Suit .
The following is CTIA’s statement on an amicus brief we filed asking the Supreme Court to review a class action suit alleging harm from unexploited cybersecurity vulnerabilities in a connected vehicle.
“CTIA and our members are committed to protecting consumers from cybersecurity threats through a wide range of efforts, including information-sharing platforms, industry-led working groups, and testing frameworks such as CTIA’s IoT Cybersecurity Certification Program. The threat of million dollar claims when no hack has even occurred would hinder industry collaboration and do nothing to address cybersecurity.”
