CTIA Announces CTIA Startup Lab Finalists for 2015 .

    WASHINGTON – CTIA-The Wireless Association® announces that the CTIA Innovation Council Investor Advisors selected 26 forward-thinking, innovative companies to participate in the CTIA Startup Lab 2015 class. This year’s will be featured during Super Mobility 2015 in Startup City on September 9.

    During Super Mobility 2015, the CTIA Startup Lab finalists will pitch their products and services before the CTIA Innovation Council who will select three winners.

    The CTIA Startup Lab connects seed and growth-stage companies with the Council’s mobile industry leaders. It targets mobile technologies that increase efficiency and improve customer engagement through the Internet of Things, wireless, mHealth, identity management and cybersecurity.     “These companies are developing transformative mobile products and services to benefit the end-users. By connecting these young innovators with intellectual and financial resources, we will help them grow,” said Robert Mesirow, Vice President and Show Director, CTIA.

    The CTIA Startup Lab finalists were nominated by industry accelerator programs, innovation spaces and investor portfolios from around the world, including OpenAir Equity Partners, Mach37 – The Cybersecurity Accelerator, MoDev, Android BBQ, The ARK Challenge, Cooley LLP, Bootstrap Labs, Sony Growth Ventures, Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Paris, Klak Innovit, Mucker Capital, Global Accelerator Network, Chinaccelerator, Innovation Pavilion, Producers Guild of America, Bessemer Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Trident Capital and Alcatel One Touch Innovation Accelerator.

    The CTIA Innovation Council is comprised of executives from AT&T, Verizon Ventures, T-Mobile, Sprint, LG, Samsung, Blackberry, Ericsson, Sony, Honda Silicon Valley Lab, Telefonica, Orange Labs, British Telecom, Docomo Capital, US Cellular, Intel Capital, Zettics, Bessemer Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Handmade VC and In-Q-Tel.
