CTIA and ASCA Statement on Second Contraband Phones Task Force Meeting .
WASHINGTON – The following statement is for joint attribution to CTIA®, the wireless industry association, and the Association of State Correctional Administrators (ASCA) following this week’s contraband phones task force meeting in Arlington, VA:
“CTIA and ASCA concluded a second task force meeting today aimed at combatting the use of contraband cellphones by prison inmates. The meeting’s focus included a discussion of technology solutions that could potentially be used to stop the use of contraband phones in prisons. CTIA and ASCA will continue working closely together to further advance this important objective.”
