America’s Wireless Companies Respond to COVID-19: July 17th Update

The wireless industry continues to provide resources for customers, students and small business to navigate the ongoing pandemic. Here are some of the ways wireless companies lent a virtual hand this week:

  • AT&T Business will launch a new webinar series ‘Business Unusual, Big Ideas for Small Business ‘ hosted by Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran on July 22 to share business expertise with small businesses struggling from the pandemic.
  • Verizon announced Citizen Verizon, a new initiative to address pressing societal issues through action in an effort to continue to support its customers, employees, stakeholders and society amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Ericsson is exploring how edge computing can enable enterprise business and consumers as homes have transformed into online schools, remote workplaces and entertainment centers in the wake of COVID-19.
  • Qualcomm donated 900 personal computers to students in San Diego to enhance the accessibility of remote learning.
