America’s Wireless Companies Respond to COVID-19: February 19th Recap .
As communities across America continue to be impacted by COVID-19, the wireless industry is providing critical resources and support to aid others during these difficult times. Take a look at some of the ways wireless companies recently lent a virtual hand:
- AT&T is providing network connectivity for shipping companies that are distributing COVID-19 vaccines across America, helping healthcare organizations ensure those who need the vaccine can get it.
- T-Mobile donated wireless hotspots to the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster as part of the company’s Project 10Million initiative, helping connect kids to educational resources as they learn remotely due to COVID-19.
- To support employees’ passion for giving back to their communities, Qualcomm created an online portal for employees to find or host virtual volunteer opportunities during COVID-19.
Now more than ever, wireless is playing a critical role in keeping us connected to our family and friends, our jobs, our schools and our communities, and we are proud of our members and the industry for their tireless efforts in these trying times. We will continue to share our members’ stories here and on the CTIA website.
