American Tower’s Steve Vondran Joins CTIA Board .
Washington D.C. – CTIA, the wireless industry association, today announced that Steve Vondran, American Tower Executive Vice President and President, U.S. Tower Division, has joined CTIA’s Board of Directors effective immediately.
American Tower plays a leading role in global wireless communications infrastructure deployment. As an industry leader in communications networks, American Tower is working to rollout next-generation 5G infrastructure that will enable the mobile technologies of the future.
“We are excited to welcome Steve to the CTIA Board at this pivotal time for wireless infrastructure,” said CTIA President and CEO Meredith Attwell Baker. “We look forward to working with Steve and American Tower as our industry begins the transition to next-generation 5G wireless networks.”
“For over 30 years, CTIA has been an important advocate for our industry and instrumental in achieving many regulatory and legislative successes with respect to wireless infrastructure,” said Vondran. “I am honored to join the board to help CTIA and the rest of the industry support our carrier customers in the rollout of future generation technologies.”
Mr. Vondran joined American Tower in 2000 as a member of the corporate legal team and served in a variety of positions until August 2004 when he was appointed Senior Vice President for U.S. Leasing Operations. In August 2010, Mr. Vondran was appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel for the U.S. Tower Division and transitioned in 2018 to his current position as Executive Vice President and President, U.S. Tower Division.
