International CTIA Wireless® 2012 Announces CTIA E-Tech Awards Winners

NEW ORLEANS, May 9, 2012 – International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 today announced the CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards winners in mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise and vertical markets and infrastructure. In addition to the 15 awards categories, industry peers voted for their favorite entries online and onsite via text during International CTIA WIRELESS taking place May 8-10, 2012 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The entry with the most online votes, "Best Online Pick" was awarded to AIRSYS High Efficiency HVAC Wall Pack Unit (WPU), Tempest Telecom Solutions LLC. The "Best in Show" went to Leagues by Leagues LLC, which earned the most onsite text votes.

"Wireless innovation is having a significant impact on our daily lives, and the seventh annual CTIA E-Tech Awards recognize the wide array of mobile products and services that are improving how we live, work and play," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. "The E-Tech winners consistently prove the U.S. wireless industry perpetually develops new and improved applications, solutions, hardware and infrastructure. That's why we're the world leader in wireless and so many of the hottest and coolest wireless products and services are launched here first."

Jon Fortt, technology correspondent for CNBC, hosted the awards ceremony on the Exhibit Innovations Stage at Booth 4575 at International CTIA WIRELESS 2012. Online judging for the 15 awards categories was conducted by a panel of media and industry analysts. Nearly 250 entries were judged based on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall "wow" factor. Many of the award submissions are on display in the E-Tech Showcase at Booth 4575 during International CTIA WIRELESS 2012, and all the submissions may be viewed at www.ctiashows.com/awards.
