Finalists Announced for CTIA Hot For The Holidays Awards

Public can vote online and via text for their favorite entry. Winners to be announced at International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009®.

WASHINGTON DC – CTIA-The Wireless Association® today announced the finalists for the first CTIA Hot for the Holidays awards program, revealing this year’s must-buy mobile consumer electronics products and applications. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center, during International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009,® October 7-9.

Submissions in seven categories were reviewed by a panel of top-tier reporters and analysts and were judged on innovation, functionality and creativity. The CTIA 2009 Hot for the Holidays finalists are:

”CTIA’s inaugural Hot for the Holidays awards attracted new and innovative CE products and app submissions,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. “We believe that our finalists will be high on everyone’s gift list this year.”

The public can vote online at www.ctiashow.com/awards and via text for their favorite products. The entry that garners the most online votes will be named “CTIA 2009 Hottest Web Pick.” The entry that earns the most text votes during the show in San Diego will be named “CTIA 2009 Hottest in Show.”

CTIA 2009 Hot for the Holidays winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Exhibit Innovations Stage on the show floor. All of the finalists will be prominently displayed in a special showcase at International CTIA WIRELESS IT & E.
