CTIA–The Wireless Association® Welcomes Lisa Zaina as Assistant VP for State Regulatory Affairs

WASHINGTON, DC – CTIA–The Wireless Association® President & CEO Steve Largent announced today that Lisa Zaina will join the wireless trade group as Assistant Vice President for State Regulatory Affairs. In this capacity she will focus on expanding the industry’s relationships with state regulators and working with CTIA–The Wireless Association® member-companies to develop state regulatory policies that advance the wireless cause.
“We are delighted to announce the addition of Lisa to our team,” said Largent. “We’re adding a professional with an incredible amount of experience and working knowledge in the regulatory affairs arena. There is no doubt she will be an effective wireless advocate and overall valuable resource to the industry in our many dealings with state policymakers across the country.”
Ms. Zaina joins CTIA–The Wireless Association® after having served as Executive Director of the Independent Telephone and Telecommunications Alliance (ITTA). Prior to leading ITTA, Ms. Zaina served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC). Ms. Zaina began her career as Deputy Assistant General Counsel of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
Ms. Zaina holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. She begins her new post at CTIA on June 4, 2007.
