CTIA–The Wireless Association® Applauds NTIA for Issuance of DTV Converter Box Rules

WASHINGTON, DC – CTIA–The Wireless Association® Vice President for Public Affairs John Walls offered the followed comments today in response to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s publication of DTV Converter Boxes rules: 

“NTIA’s action today is an important step toward completing the DTV transition and making additional and needed spectrum available to public safety and wireless providers.   The interoperable communication needs of public safety and the new and innovative consumer services made possible by the 700 MHz spectrum make it more important than ever to keep the DTV transition on schedule.”
