WASHINGTON – Today, CTIA-The Wireless Association®’s Startup Lab announced the 40 finalists for its inaugural class at Super Mobility Week. Designed to help seed and growth stage startups secure accelerated connections and investments in the mobile industry, the CTIA Startup Lab program will take place September 8 -11 as part of CTIA MobileTalks. There will be an additional optional opportunity for the finalists to take part in an Investor Day on September 16 at Orange Labs in San Francisco.
While the top three startups will be recognized at the end of the CTIA Startup Lab, all finalists will showcase their products before a panel of industry experts and investors. Finalists were selected by the CTIA Investor Panel, which is comprised of venture and corporate capital investors. The 40 finalists to be featured at Super Mobility Week are as follows:

“In such a vibrant and competitive ecosystem, wireless companies are constantly innovating to ensure Americans have the best products and services that meet their unique needs. These startups are perfect examples of the creativity of the best minds, and I’m looking forward to seeing the next ‘hottest’ and ‘coolest’ products and services there,” said Robert Mesirow, CTIA Vice President and Show Director.
Companies were nominated by CTIA and mobile community leaders from 1871, Apptual, Austin Technology Incubator, BootstrapLabs, Hackers and Founders, LaunchHub, MoDev, Mobile Monday, Momentum, Orange Labs, Rocketspace, Telecom Council and University College of London - DECIDE. Finalists were chosen by the CTIA Investor Panel comprised of judges from Blumberg Capital, Caten McGuire, Cooley LLP, Docomo Capital, Ericsson, Fortify Ventures, Honda, Intel Capital, Khosla Ventures, LG Electronics Mobile, mBlox, Orange Labs, Samsung, Sony Growth Ventures and Innovation, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
