CTIA's “go wireless, go green” website provides useful information about measures consumers can take to be more environmentally responsible, CTIA members’ initiatives to improve their operations to be more sustainable and the eco-friendly value wireless provides other industries.

The website also provides consumers with information on how they can recycle their wireless devices, such as smartphones and cellphones, as well as their wireless accessories. For consumers who want to know what happens once they return their devices and accessories, CTIA explains the recycling, refurbishing and reusing processes.

Wireless Safety Programs

Get Wise About Wireless
This initiative is a partnership between the Wireless Foundation and the Weekly Reader Corporation Consumer & Custom Publishing that equips parents and teachers with tips and tools to help students defeat digital bullies by practicing proper cell phone etiquette and safety behaviors.


Wireless AMBER Alerts
This initiative is a free public service that allows America's 250 million-plus wireless subscribers the ability to help law enforcement in the search for abducted children by opting in to receive Wireless AMBER Alerts as text messages.


Text2Help
This initiative is a voluntary, cooperative partnership between the Wireless Foundation and the American Red Cross that allows customers of participating wireless carriers to send a text message to the American Red Cross and make a donation for relief efforts during a major natural disaster. 


Text4baby
Text4baby is a free mobile educational service of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition to promote the birth of healthy babies. It provides information to pregnant women and new moms to help care for their health and to give their babies the best possible start in life.
