Wireless Internet Caucus (WIC)
CTIA’s Wireless Internet Caucus (WIC) is a core community of CTIA member companies dedicated to growing a large and robust market at the convergence of wireless and Internet technologies, products and services.
WIC is dedicated to fostering the development of a vibrant wireless Internet ecosystem in order to accelerate market adoption of wireless data applications, products and services.
Working together, WIC members seek to build a shared vision of this market and an action plan to enable its rapid growth. WIC focuses its efforts on a twin-pronged strategy of addressing the needs of the two biggest segments of the wireless data marketplace: the enterprise user and the consumer.
WIC Leadership Council
The WIC Leadership Council comprises a critical mass of key industry decision makers who work together to create a shared market vision and unified approach to solving the problems and challenges faced in collectively growing the wireless data marketplace.
WIC Action Teams
There are currently eight primary WIC action teams - each focused on industry issues relevant to their team's domain. The primary objective of these teams is to focus on a specified domain, issue or topic, and to bring findings, results, and deliverables back to the WIC Leadership Council for final consideration.
VC Innovation Council
VC Innovation Council members serve to assist CTIA reach its’ mission to foster wireless innovation by identifying broad industry wide growth potential and areas in which impediments can be overcome with CTIA-lead task forces. Select venture industry partners communicate with CTIA on wireless innovation trends, best practices, and global developments that are affecting VC investment choices.
WIC Membership
As a forum of professionals representing the value chain in the wireless data industry, members get to work together on the issues that directly affect their businesses to create common solutions.
