CTIA Wireless Industry Indices Report
The CTIA Wireless Industry Indices Report is compiled using voluntary survey data provided by carriers serving more than 95% of wireless users. The Report documents trends in wireless subscribership, revenue, infrastructure, and incremental capital investment. The report breaks-out the revenues and usage associated with data, toll and prepaid services, and uses recently-released wireline sector statistics including revenues, usage and lines to compare the wireless industry with the wireline telecommunications space.
Published bi-annually since January, 1985, the Indices Report has tracked the evolution of the wireless industry. It has allowed CTIA's Research Department to report trends and has evolved with the wireless industry. Each new edition of the Indices works to provide improved, and timely, definitions and instructions in order to adapt to the changes in the wireless landscape.
