Public Affairs Department

The CTIA Public Affairs Department is the voice of the wireless industry and communicates the industry’s positions and initiatives to policymakers, media members, consumers, and analysts through a broad variety of methods. The Department is also a versatile resource to member companies by providing them with clear and concise messaging on industry issues, useful promotional material to support industry topics and initiatives, and by serving as a point-of-contact to media inquiries that run the full gamut of wireless topics.

A consistent public voice on wireless issues is critical and the Public Affairs Department is instrumental in conveying wireless messages and philosophies to reinforce the need for favorable public policy and creating an overall positive impression of the industry.

The Department also leads the promotional efforts of industry initiatives in areas such as consumer service, recycling, and safe driving. In addition to collaborating with member company public relations representatives on developing communication strategies, the Department produces promotional material such as radio and television public service announcements, videos, brochures, posters, and display materials appropriate for positioning in member company retail outlets.
