Operations Department
The CTIA Operations Department serves as the driving force behind two of the highest-rated and most regarded trade shows in the industry. In addition to producing CTIA WIRELESS® and CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & ENTERTAINMENT®, this department also consists of the CTIA Membership division, CTIA Technology Programs, and the industry recognized CTIA Certification Program.
CTIA Conventions host two shows a year, once in the spring, for a true representation of all things wireless and one in the fall that focuses on the two worlds of mobile data; enterprise and entertainment. High-tech professionals from all industries around the world look to the CTIA tradeshows as the definitive source for in-depth training, groundbreaking wireless news and information and the opportunity to network with top industry executives.
The Membership Division serves the Association’s member companies in a multitude of ways. It is the primary point-of-contact for new and existing members, while continuously developing opportunities and programs that create more value for CTIA members.
Technology Programs focuses on resolving any industry interoperability issue, including inter-carrier related issues such as SMS and MMS. In addition, the Common Short Code Administration (CSCA) is housed within Technology Programs. This group also provides Spectrum Clearinghouse support to the FCC and promotes ongoing industry-wide business development activities.
The CTIA Certification Program provides the industry with an unbiased, independent, and centralized product development service. Established in 1991, the Certification Program tests products for conformance to industry adopted standards and awards approved products with the CTIA Certification Seal.
